As promised, I'm going to update about my trip in Cambodia.

*Warning this is going to be a long post*

Went to Cambodia for my Overseas Community Project(OCP). The Kingdom of Cambodia, has a population of over 14 million people. The kingdom's capital and largest city is Phnom Penh, which I spent 3 to 4 days there.

Arrived there on the 28th September and checked into the hotel, Angkor Way Hotel, on the first night. Had dinner then proceed to rest.

Woke up early and got ready to visit RiverKids, a place where orphans or kids goes to get education. At RiverKids, we painted the walls to brighten up the place. We even had to paint in the rain to get things done. As quoted from You Hock, "If you want to do things, give it your best. If not, don't do".

Visited the Royal Palace of Cambodia and the building was simply breath-taking. After the short tour of the Royal Palace, we headed to the Genocide Museum to see the history of Cambodia. The number of people died there is by the thousands and there were only 7 survivors at the end of that dark era. Had lunch before going back to RiverKids and threw them a concert/party. Played some games and taught them some dances which they really enjoyed. And the kids there, are so friendly even though we had language barrier. Not forgetting, they love cameras and taking pictures.

Left Phnom Penh and took a 6-7 hours bus ride to Siem Reap to visit a Carving School. It is damn cool as you watch the students there carve statues from stones and paints beautiful pictures. Checked into our hotel, Royal Palace Hotel, after that.

Visited Angkor Wat the next day with a different tour guide, Mr John. He's damn cool as he knows the best places to get the nicest pictures. Had lots of fun there and became a 'Kampung Boy' there as I climbed and jumped all over the place. Less typing here, more pictures. =)

Here's a picture of me with my tour guide, Mr John. He's damn cool.

And also not forgetting, there are kids who begs and tries to sell stuff to us when we got down or before we got up the bus.

It only rained for like 20 mins before lunch and the road became like this.

And after lunch, continuation of Angkor Wat, hailed as one of many wonders of the world.

To conclude my trip, it is an experience which no tour agency can give you. I've learnt that my life is good, compared to others. But yet, being spoiled, I still want more. So the key to getting more, is by studying harder. Will upload other pictures soon and share them. =)
